What is an .htaccess file?.htaccess files give you access to your server's configuration settings. By placing an htaccess file on your server, you can make specific configuration changes on a per directory basis.
The htaccess url rewrite tool gives you a way to alias a url to something else. For example, the file located at "yourlong/url/step2.html" could be aliased to "keyword-phrase.html".
What url should I generate for my rewrite?Your url rewrite should contain your keyword phrase. So if your keyword phrase is "antique cars", then your url should be something like "antique-cars.html".
