Why is Content so Important to Search Engines?

On the most basic level a search engine's job is to analyze content and store this information in a database. A search engine user then executes a search and the engine scans this database producing a list of webpages it believes the user is looking for.

The more relevant your content is to a search term, the higher your ranking will be(obviously there are many other factors but content is very important). Naturally your content has to be top notch if you want to get noticed. Our content analyzer tool makes this process a lot easier and measurable.

How does the size of my text matter?

Generally speaking, large text means more important text. Usually a visitor to your site will see the large text on a page before the small text. If the visitor doesn't find anything interesting in your large text, they will most likely move on. So in order to keep visitors interested, make sure your headings contain relevant information.

Why is it important to Analyze for Exact and Partial Keyword Matches?

Exact keyword matches are more significant than partial matches since they contain your entire keyword phrase. If your webpage is about "homemade bird feeders", then this would be your keyword phrase which you would want to have appear in various places within your document.

However, partial matches are still important. If you are selling homemade bird feeders, it would be strange not to have the keyword "bird" scattered around in your document. Not having these partial matches could indicate that your document is not entirely related to your exact keyword phrase.

It is also important to include order variations of your keyword phrase. "homemade feeders for birds" contains all the words of your exact keyword phrase in a different order. Search engines view this as a relevance indicator when evaluating / analyzing your exact keyword phrase.
